Lumor J Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Inspection Ink

Lumor J (HF) fluorescent magnetic ink.

Description

Lumor J (HF) fluorescent magnetic ink consists of finely-divided fluorescent magnetic particles, dispersed in a hydrocarbon carrier fluid, which will fluoresce brilliant yellow/green under ultraviolet radiation with a predominant wavelength of 365 nanometres. Lumor J (HF) is ideal for the inspection of ferromagnetic materials, structures and components by the magnetic particle inspection method.

Product Overview: Lumor J Fluorescent Magnetic Particle Inspection Ink

Lumor J is a high-performance fluorescent magnetic particle inspection ink designed for precision defect detection in various industries. This specialized product comprises finely divided fluorescent magnetic particles that emit a brilliant yellow-green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) radiation with a predominant wavelength of 365 nanometers. Lumor J’s unique properties make it an indispensable tool for professionals in the field of non-destructive testing.

Key Features:

  • Optimal Particle Size: Lumor J powder contains particles with a mean size of 4 to 5 microns, ensuring precise and reliable results.
  • Enhanced Magnetic Response: The particles are carefully chosen for their high magnetic response, ensuring superior defect sensitivity.
  • Low Coercivity: Lumor J’s low coercivity prevents particle coagulation, maintaining consistent performance throughout inspections.
  • Extended Operational Life: Enjoy prolonged use and reliable results with Lumor J’s extended operational life.

Preparation and Usage: Lumor J powder is easily prepared for use by mixing it with a suitable carrier fluid, such as high flash point, odorless kerosene, or water conditioned with a water treatment compound. The recommended concentration ranges between 0.8g and 1.0g per liter, yielding settlement volumes between 0.15% and 0.30%.

To perform an inspection, start by cleaning the surface of the components to be tested to ensure accurate results. After magnetizing the components, apply Lumor J ink during magnetization, stopping before turning off the magnetizing source to allow particles to migrate to the flux leakage area.

For effective inspections, ensure the component surfaces are examined under UV-A light with a minimum output of 1,000 µwatts per square cm and a peak wavelength of 365 nanometers. Maintain an ambient light level below 10 lux during inspections.

Safety and Environmental Considerations: Prior to conducting inspections, it is essential to read and understand the provided safety data sheets. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe usage.

Environmental Responsibility: Comply with all local and national regulations governing the transport, storage, use, and waste treatment of chemicals in concentrated or diluted forms, as well as working solutions. For detailed product information and hazard symbols, refer to the Safety Data Sheets provided.

Waste Disposal: Ensure that all waste waters are treated in accordance with national legislation and local regulations before discharging them into the sewer.

Lumor J is your trusted partner for fluorescent magnetic particle inspections, offering unmatched precision and reliability in defect detection.
