Lead Marker Tapes. When radiographing a weld it is important to clearly locate any possible defect areas on the weld. The lead marker tape placed alongside the weld seam will give an accurate indication of the suspect area, the numbered lead markers spaced at specific intervals on the marker tape will give a clear image on the processed radiograph.
The standard range of sizes are from 0.5m to 15m in length with either 2cm, 5cm or 10cm spacings between lead markers
Magnetic Marker Tapes are made from hard, yet flexible, magnetic rubber faced with white PVC. Embossed lead identification markers are placed at either 5cm or 10cm intervals
