Intrinsically Safe Ultraviolet Inspection Lamp – Labino AB bring to the market the world’s first explosion proof handheld UV Inspection Light, MB Hercules Ex. Hercules Ex is a product specifically developed for use in areas where flammable materials are present and the risk of explosion is high. Use of explosion proof products is often required in Offshore Oil Rigs, Refineries, Defense and Aerospace.

Hercules Ex is an extremely durable product and has successfully completed extremely tough tests, amongst them tests for thermal conditioning, Impact Tests, Drop Tests, IP tests that led to the ATEX certification for Group II, Zone II as well as NFPA 70, Article 500 for Class I (divisions II locations) and IECEx.  In addition, MB Hercules Ex has successfully completed the following US military tests:

MIL-STD-810F, Method 509.4 – Salt Fog Test

MIL-STD 810G, Method 511.6 Ex Atmosphere Test

This unique light is available as a battery version, it has four UV LEDs and has an intensity of 4,000 µw/cm2. MB Hercules Ex also complies with ASTM E3022-15 Standard, Rolls-Royce RRES 90061 Engineering Specification and Airbus AITM6-1001 (Issue 12) Test Method, Pratt Whitney, The Boeing Co, ISO3059 & USAF
